Not Walking but Thankful

Hello There Furiends,

Since tomorrow is a holiday and the Human is taking a min-vacation for the rest of the week, I decided to give her a reprieve from her usual Wednesday blog duties. Actually “mini-vacation” is not exactly true as she will be finishing up our third Felines Opine book for publication (Its called “Are There Head Bonks in Heaven?”). She’ll be spending some quality time with the Tribe (we expect some petting and head bonk sessions by the fireplace!) and with some her favorite humans.

We did want to meow at all our furiends and tell you how thankful we are for all of you. We are thankful for our home, for each other and for the love we get every day. Our purrayer is that every kitty will find a furever home this season.

Although it’s not over yet, we are reflecting on this year, there has been much loss, many kitties crossing the Rainbow Bridge and some wonderful humans we know who are now in heaven. We are thankful to have known them all, furry and non-furry.

We wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving. I’ll be back next Wednesday with my reports on all the best feline news on the world-wide web. Give your humans (and furry siblings) lots of love and hopefully there will be some turkey in your future.

Stay safe, warm and happy. Oliver, LIly and I send you…

Tucker Opines on Being Thankful on Friendly Fill Ins #131

Hello There Furiends,
It’s that thankful time of year and since I am the wisest cat in The Tribe of Five, and the Alpha, I thought I’d do this week’s fill ins. Our Purrsonal Assistant has had quite a bit on her plate lately (and none of it was tuna) so please forgive her for getting my post up late.

The Tribe (and our Humans) wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving.
Purrs & Head Bonks,

This Week’s Fill Ins:

1. I can’t wait to have _______________________ on Thanksgiving ( if not in the USA, substitute your next holiday).

2. I am thankful for ____________________________-.

3. When it comes to pie, _________.

4. A feast is not a feast without _________.

My Fill In Answers:

  1. I can’t wait to have leftovers of any kind of people food on Thanksgiving because I am a feline who loves to eat (I’ve been known to lick the butter when The Female Human leaves it unattended).
This is me, waiting patiently at the kitchen counter waiting for The Female Human to do the right thing (as in feed me).

 2. I am thankful for my girth because when The Male Human finds a cat Halloween outfit for $1.00 everyone knows it will never fit me.

Alberto suffers the humiliation of donning the $1.00 sushi costume find while Oliver points out how ridiculous he looks.

.3. When it comes to pie, I’m not interested unless there is stinky fish involved.

Pie? I’m not sure what that is but if tuna is involved, count me in!

4. A feast is not a feast without someone to cuddle with after dinner.

Oliver and I love to eat and we also love to snuggle after a good meal.

Thankful Felines

PudsThanksgiving

Hello Humans,

We have been informed that this is the season of the turkey and thankfulness. Although overt expressions of thankfulness are not always exhibited by felines, those of you who know and love our species understand that we are always thankful. Thankful for our warm beds, for the humans who are always willing to do our bidding and for the love and adoration bestowed upon us.

Our tribe is made up of rescue kitties and we think back to how thankful we are to our humans for giving us a forever home. The female human often visits the cats at our local shelter and she wishes all the cats there could find forever homes.

This Thanksgiving we ask that if you can’t give a kitty a home, would you do something nice for your local shelter that cares for them? Even some cat food, litter, treats or toys are helpful!

Have a Pawsitively Wonderful Thanksgiving,

Your friends,

Tucker , Jasmine, Lily, Alberto and Oliver
