Those of you who follow our blog know that The Tribe of Five have very strong feelings about dressing up cats, case in point, my post about The Great Halloween Indignity and the humans attempt to stuff me into a dinosaur costume. Believe it or not, there is a holiday called Dress Up Your Pet Day and if you humans out there have any intention of celebrating it by stuffing your feline into a ridiculous ensemble, I urge you to read this article and resist the urge to dress us up!

She says she spends at least 10 hours a week on “cat related” stuff. Pretty cool idea, even if you don’t have felines living with you, they can be your hobby and you can do something nice for them!

Around our house we have a pheomenon we refur to as “fuzzy tail”. Sometimes humans who visit us don’t understand why this happens to us or what caused it. Alberto,dear furiend, M here. I share your disdain over wearing outfits and have had the misfortune to get shoved into a couple of the hideous things in honor of halloween. Revolting holiday that we toms should petition to end! Alas, I must admit that Purrseidon loves dressing up, so the gals might revolt against this idea.

Too true, if we Felines don’t stand together the humans will assume our silence is consent. And as to those cats who acquiesce to these dignities, we must save them from themselves.

Ahha! Alberto, dear furiend, I think you’ve pinpointed the source of my problems communicating with my staff – they assume my dignified silence is agreement! Oh, meow is me, I must force myself to be more vocal – since I lived feral for years, it is difficult to overcome the stealthy silence, which was crucial to that lifestyle. =^.^=

The habit of dressing up its is weird OK? Simply weird. Only a rare few can carry it off. Cats like our colleague Coco the Couture cat who is gracious and sophisticated but you and me – NO WAY buddy!!!
We know about Simon who won the Dicken Medal. He’s a hero of ours, and was an amazing cat.

I totally agree about this dressing up thing. Humans just go and buy a doll or a toy cat….Looked up the Icelandic Company and I could watch the cats and kittens in their house. All were sleeping or no- one in the other rooms of course I guess Iceland time is different from Scottish time. Loved reading the blog….How humiliating for the dress up cats. Wonder what they would say if they could talk. By the look on their faces I suppose we can guess. Love,Purrs. x😻💞🐾🐾

Paws up for no dressing us up. Our fur is much too beautiful.Snoops and Kommando Kitty (Kommando has a cold-weather cat body – ear tufts, compact body, etc. So she has a short tail. It’s pretty cute when it fluffs – it’s really the only time you notice it.)

She seems to love wearing finery and is a happy cat, loves human attention and traveling. Not this feline though! I much prefer to go au natural !
