This is The Female Human. We had to say good-bye to Tucker tonight. It was a quick decline (kidney cancer) and his last hours were comfortable. My heart is shattered.

  We all really miss the big guy but Lily is missing him the most. He was her cuddle buddy. The Female Human is wondering if she needs a furiend but we’re telling her to give it some time.

I am so very sorry to learn that Tucker died. I know you will miss him so very much. Every time we must let one of our cats go ahead of us it is heartbreaking. What I know is that if humans go to heaven, then cats do too. If they do not then there is no heaven. Any creature that lives has a soul.. Sometimes I laugh when I think of the herd of cats waiting for me there. I don’t think God makes them wait to go to heaven. I hope they all come to greet me when I get there. Tucker had a good life and was truly loved. You did good.

  Thank you so much. I too believe there are cats and other animals in heaven. I’ve had several people recommend Randy Alcorn’s book Heaven to me so I just checked it out from the library. Evidently he gives a good argument for this idea. What a beautiful thought to think of all our beloved felines playing together in heaven.
