Hello Everyone,
We had so much fun with the fill-ins last week that we’re doin’ it again.
I hope you’ll play along with us. You can add your link at McGuffy’s Reader or you can leave your fill in answers in the comments.
Purrs & Head Bonks,
The Questions:
1. Snow___________________.
2. I _____________________.
3. One holiday memory that I cherish is .
4. I always thought that Santa__________________.
My answers:
- Snow brings interesting visitors to our house.
2. I enjoy keeping warm by the fire when it’s snowing.
3. One holiday memory I cherish is my first Christmas when the female human wrote a poem for me.
”Twas two nights after Christmas
And kittens so young
Were destroying gift paper
And having some fun.
The humans were snuggled all warm in their bed,
And felines so spoiled had been very well fed.
When what to their wondering eyes should appear,
But a guest in the garden, a beautiful deer.
He munched and he snacked
On the nice cherry tree
Then turned toward the porch,
The kittens to see.
And then those deer hooves made such a clatter
The felines, so scared all jumped and then scattered.
And they heard the deer say
As he walked back to the woods,
“Merry Christmas small kittens
Now try to be good!”
4. I always thought that Santa was a human, but I’m beginning to wonder if Lily is the real Santa!
Great poem! We have ‘bandits’ but no snow. Lastly, I think Lily is a great santa.

Thank you (and Lily thanks you as well). Yes the masked bandits show up on a regular basis for a hand out. We do enjoy watching them behind the safety of the glass doors

One neighbor feeds the local raccoons, so they are very bold. We aren’t allowed to socialize with them because sometimes they have rabies…. we’ve got vaccinations, but our staff is over protective. >^.^<

Your staff is wise, our humans feel the same, we only watch from a safe distance behind a window or glass doors.

I was originally offended by this, then M pointed out how long their claws were, so I haven’t complained (at least not too much) since.
Merry Christmas! >^.^<

Our felines don’t mind a quick stroll on the upstairs deck in the snow but they prefer to watch the snow from the warmth of the house.

Snow is too high for me to pee.
I am so grateful to be indoor potty trained.
One holiday memory that I cherish is the abundance and variety of food.
I always thought Santa was kinda getting away with breaking and entering.

Love these! Snow bugs my paws -don’t like to walk in it and I can’t imagine how miserable it is for my canine friends to pee outside in the winter!

Fabulous poem. Loved seeing the picture of the racoons as we don’t have those in Scotland – if we did I’m sure Princess Cookie Cat would love to keep an eye on them out the window. Great answers to the fill ins.

Oh I laughed at Lily’s Santa disguise!! She looks so sweet 🙂
OKK so we don’t get racoons, the worst thing we get here are thoughtless and nasty humans (and they can be bad enough). I confess your visitors made me giggle though, their faces are SOOO appealing!

As big Doodle brother, Bernie decided to answer these:
1. Snow is a foreign substance to this desert dog.
2. I get anxious around the holidays because last year mommy left me to go visit family in Canada.
3. One holiday memory that I cherish is mommy coming back. Boy, did I get spoiled for a week or two!
4. I always thought that Santa was a jolly labrador retriever!

We’re not sure what a desert is but I bet you’d love to watch the snow falling (as long as you’re watching from a warm spot inside !

Snow keeps falling!
I enjoy sitting on the sofa in front of the fire with the furries.
One holiday memory that I cherish is waking up on Christmas morning to see what Santa had brought for my siblings and I. .
I always thought that Santa…….hmmmm………I always thought that Santa did well to stay so quiet and not wake my family when he landed the sleigh on our roof. Plus, very clever to squeeze himself down the chimney of our woodstove!

Wow! People love participating in your fill in the blanks! Snow blankets the drabness of winter with it’s own dazzle. I enjoy the snow with my American Eskimo Gusto. The holiday memories that I cherish are from my childhood and opening up presents around the Christmas tree. We are expecting a picture of Gusto with Santa to arrive any day now…lol.

Thanks for purrticipating,
We’ve heard that Santa is jolly but we have yet to meet him. Every Christmas we sit by the fireplace hoping he’ll come down the chimney, still hasn’t happened. I refuse to believe that it’s because we haven’t been good kitties all year.
